Kumbh Mela

Kumbh Mela is the greatest pilgrimage and festival in the Hindu religion. Kumbh is organized at four locations in India, and one of them is Prayagraj, situated at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. 












Cultural Significance

  • Maha Kumbh organized every 12 years, attracting participants from around the globe to take a dip in the holy waters of Ganga, Yamuna and the mystical Saraswati. 
  • According to mythology, 4 drops of the nectar that came out of the churning of the ocean fell at 4 places, one of them was
  • According to the belief of the people, taking a bath in the Sangam washes away sins and attains salvation.
  • The Kumbh here is considered significant, as it marks the direction of knowledge or light.
  • People from all over the country and abroad come here to bathe, and people of all castes and religions participate in one way or the other in the fair held here.

  • The Mahakumbh is determined based on the specific alignment of Jupiter, Sun, and Moon in the zodiac signs.
  • Prayagraj Kumbh Mela represents an unparalleled amalgamation of diverse cultures, civilizations, languages, traditions, and culinary practices.
  • The event attracts Kalpavasis (pilgrims observing a vow of austerity), sadhus (holy men), and travelers from various walks of life.

Cultural significance of Prayagraj

  • Anointment of Ancient Kings : In Valmiki's Ramayana, it is mentioned that ancient kings were anointed with water from Prayagraj.
  • References in Religious and Mythological Texts : Prayagraj finds mention in ancient religious and mythological texts like Matsya Purana and Padma Purana.

  • Establishment of Allahabad : Recognizing the strategic importance of the Sangam, Emperor Akbar established the city in 1575 AD and named it Allahabad, meaning the city of Allah.



LARGEST GATHERING AT ONE PLACE:

Kumbh Festival is one of the largest gathering in world. Millions people come for one purpose that is to attend the highest goal of life Salvation or moksha. This festival last for 30 to 45 days on the banks of Ganges in Haridwar and PrayagRaj ( Allahabad). Millions of devotee stay for over 30 days( kalpvas ). Government provide free water, electricity and tents. This city has temporary hospitals, police station, fire station. At any given of time over 10 million people stay and for special days like shahi snan count cross 100 million mark.

Kumb Mela 2025 admin team is headed by Uttar Pradesh CM and they are planning to make this festival once in life time experience for devotees.


Latest updates 


The Uttar Pradesh government declared the Maha Kumbh area a new district ahead of the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela. The new district will be known as Maha Kumbh Mela district.

  हिंदुओं का सबसे  बड़े  तीर्थ और त्योहार मे  श्रद्धा से भरे जो करोड़ों लोग प्रयाग पहुँचकर इस एकता के महाकुंभ का हिस्सा बने ,  उनकी सेवा का दायित्व  सम्पन्न हुआ  ।  प्रयागराज की जनता और उत्तरप्रदेश के  शासन ,  प्रशासन ने मिलकर ,  इस एकता के महाकुंभ को सफल बनाया।  यहाँ का हर कोई श्रद्धा भाव से भरा सेवक था।   हमारे पुलिसकर्मी ,  सेना के जवान,  सफाईकर्मी ,   नाविक ,  वाहन चालक ,  भोजन बनाने वाले ,  भंडार खिलाने वाले ,  विश्वविद्यालय और यहाँ रह रहे प्रतियोगी छात्र  और प्रयागराज के  सभी  साथियों  ने पूरी श्रद्धा और सेवा भाव से निरंतर काम करके इस महाकुंभ को सफल बनाया। विशेषकर ,  प्रयागराज के निवासियों ने इन  45  दिनों में तमाम परेशानियों को उठाकर   अपने मन और भाव को शांत रखकर जिस तरह  आने वाले सारे  श्रद्धालुओं की सेवा की है   ,  वह अतुलनीय है। प्रयागराज के सभी  निवासी धन्यवाद के पात्र  हैं । यहाँ  का निवासी होने के नाते ...

  Writer and editor- Sanjay verma 1979  जब से ईरान में इस्लामिक बदलाव आया है तभी से ईरान और इज़राइल के बीच में ज़बरदस्त टेंशन का माहौल रहा है लेकिन पहले कभी भी ये दोनों एक दूसरे पे कभी भी सीधे हमले नहीं किए थे । 7 October 2023  - Humas ने अटैक किया इज़राइल के ऊपर और लगभग 1200 लोग मारे गए इसके बदले में इज़राइल ने गाजा (फ़िलिस्तीन) पे हमला करके तहस नहस कर दिया जो युद्ध अभी भी चल ही रहा है । 1 अप्रैल 2024  - इज़राइल ने सीरिया में ईरान की एम्बेसी पे हमला किया था जिसमें ईरान आर्मी के प्रमुख अधिकारी मारे गये ।  UN Charter Article 51  के अनुसार अगर किसी देश की एम्बेसी पे कोई भी देश अटैक करता है तो उस देश को हक़ है जवाब देने का  14 अप्रैल 2024  - ईरान ने इज़राइल पे 300 ड्रोन और मिसाइल बरसाये । इज़राइल का सिद्धांत  है जो हमे नुक़सान पहुँचाएगा हम उसे नुक़सान पहुँचायेंगे  ईरान की नीति  है जो होगा देखा जाएगा ।
