Kumbh Mela
Kumbh Mela is the greatest pilgrimage and festival in the Hindu religion. Kumbh is organized at four locations in India, and one of them is Prayagraj, situated at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Cultural Significance

LARGEST GATHERING AT ONE PLACE:
Kumbh Festival is one of the largest gathering in world. Millions people come for one purpose that is to attend the highest goal of life Salvation or moksha. This festival last for 30 to 45 days on the banks of Ganges in Haridwar and PrayagRaj ( Allahabad). Millions of devotee stay for over 30 days( kalpvas ). Government provide free water, electricity and tents. This city has temporary hospitals, police station, fire station. At any given of time over 10 million people stay and for special days like shahi snan count cross 100 million mark.
Kumb Mela 2025 admin team is headed by Uttar Pradesh CM and they are planning to make this festival once in life time experience for devotees.

The Uttar Pradesh government declared the Maha Kumbh area a new district ahead of the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela. The new district will be known as Maha Kumbh Mela district.
